Jazz Harmony is a theory class available to all musicians interested in the harmonic universe of that uniquely American form of music known as jazz. Some people believe that jazz chord progressions are too complicated for them to understand, but they couldn't be more wrong. The truth is that jazz harmonies are easily explained by music theory. In fact, the lessons in this course will apply to all music with chords. This class is designed to strengthen every student's understanding of how chords are constructed, how chord progressions are formed and how to play melodically over progressions, all without the requirement to read music. Jazz Harmony is highly recommended for all musicians. Despite the jazz context, this class will truly benefit players and singers of all styles.

We also offer educational events for seasoned students to learn from well known musicians in our artist clinics and master classes.
