Goals and Expectations

Our goal at The Perfect 5th Musical Arts Center is to provide you with a quality learning experience and the tools that will lead you to achieve your musical goals. It is our expectation that when you study with one of our instructors you are truly serious about learning and improving on your chosen instrument. We ask that you make every effort to commit yourself to the following requirements:

Study Requirements

  • Tuition for lessons will be paid on the first scheduled lesson of each month for four lessons. Please consult
instructors for lesson rates. Cash or check should be made out and/or given directly to the instructor.
  • In the event that a student misses a scheduled lesson it is the decision of the instructor whether or not the
lesson will be made up. Please be considerate of the fact that the instructor may have a large volume of students
and their schedule may not allow for a makeup lesson.
  • Any lessons missed by the instructor will be made up at a time that is convenient for the instructor and student, credited towards the next month, or refunded.
  • Advanced notice should be given by the teacher or student to terminate lessons (30 days is recommended and appreciated. This time frame allows for the teacher to contact and schedule another student in your absence.).

Scheduling

Our instructor's goal is to schedule their students at the same lesson time every week. This makes scheduling more efficient and organized. Please try to be at least 5 minutes early for your lesson so that you are not out of breath or rushing. Relax in the waiting area until it is time for your lesson and you are invited in. Your promptness will assist the instructor to maximize your lesson time and not run into another student's time. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late, his/her lesson will be canceled for that week and not made up or refunded.

Practice Requirements

Daily practice is expected. This special time of the day should be one of concentration and solitude when you work on the material presented to you at the lesson without distractions, including the use of cell phones, texting devices, etc. Beginners are expected to practice a minimum of 15 minutes a day and gradually work up to longer periods of time.

Lesson Requirements

Students are required to bring books, folders, writing tablets, or other materials discussed with the instructor to each lesson.

Your cooperation with the above policies will be greatly appreciated. Please contact your instructor via their extension or email if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to working with you to achieve your musical goals.

Sincerely,

The Perfect 5th Musical Arts Center
