Amanda Ainscough's Summary

Amanda Ainscough is a professional vocalist and music educator. She was raised in Egg Harbor Township, NJ and studied voice and music education at Messiah College. She then pursued post graduate studies in voice and music education at West Chester University.

Amanda is a classically trained soprano but jazz has stolen her vocal heart! She loves pop music too and has been involved in musical theater since her youth. She believes that proper vocal technique is applicable to all styles, and her voice students should follow their heart to the style(s) of their choosing. She has taught voice since 2007 and has been a student of voice since 1995.

She is the lead jazz vocalist for Modern Blue and for Octagon. Amanda Ainscough also freelances with the Lebanon Big Swing Band, the Will Fisher Orchestra, a Summer Salute to the Best of Broadway (combining Theatre Harrisburg and Voices of the Valley), and the Gatherings Band and Sanctuary Choir at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church.

After 6 years of elementary music teaching for the Cumberland Valley School District, she moved into her next career as at stay-at-home-mom. She had used the First Steps in Music TM program with her K-2 and special needs students at CV and was delighted to begin Dr. Feierabend’s program for infants and toddlers as a new mom. Amanda developed her program, “Rhythm N Rhymes,” based on Dr. Feierabend’s work and began sharing it in 2013 with great feedback and results. Amanda believes strongly in this program’s power to strengthen musical intelligence and to foster healthier human relationships. Amanda is excited to share “Rhythm n Rhymes” with central PA’s caring parents and relatives and their beloved littles!
