Conrad Smith has performed in Pennsylvania and New York as Organist, Accompanist, Guitarist and Tenor. After graduating from the Eastman School of Music in 2012, He spent five years directing church music programs in Rochester NY. At school he studied Organ Performance with classes in sacred music skills, improvisation and composition. He now resides in the Harrisburg area, directing handbells, choir and music for the Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown, PA and accompanying at Temple Ohev Sholom. He teaches private piano, organ, guitar and voice lessons. As pianist, Conrad has performed jazz cocktail hours, wedding receptions, rock shows, and church worship. He also accompanies and leads sectionals for the Sylvan Chorale.
As a child, music was a place where Conrad escaped into alternate worlds and personalities. He loved performing in musical theater and exploring music of all genres and time periods. As an adult, his passion is to provide an opportunity for children to experience the breadth of beauty to be explored in music. His lessons as well as performances are filled with laughter, the occasional tears, and always a deepening love for the world around us.
