Dawn C. Bennett teaches voice and piano for The Perfect 5th. She also teaches Musikgarten classes for babies and toddlers, and is the piano instructor for Young Music Explorers. This fall she will offer Music for Little Mozarts, a piano class for 4-6 year olds and The Singing Spot, a homeschool voice class for 4-7 year olds. She also teaches a piano class for adults and teens.
She holds music degrees from Temple University(voice), Syracuse University(piano) and Western Maryland College(Music Education). She performed extensively in musical theatre in such roles at Christine in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Sister Mary Amnesia in NUNSENSE, Cousin Nettie and Julie in CAROUSEL, and Elsa in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. She has directed various plays such as FIDDLER ON THE ROOF JR, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND JR, and I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY.
Dawn directed handbell choirs in Wrentham, MA and here in Pennsylvania. Currently, she is the music director for Mt. Zion UMC in Enola. She works as a substitute teacher in various school districts in Central Pennsylvania.
She enjoys teaching and loves sharing her love of music(and musical theatre). She teaches students of all ages.
